In Wyoming, students must apply for a license to become cosmetology instructors. The Wyoming State Board of Cosmetology requires that you have a current cosmetology license in the state and have acquired at least 1,000 hours of training in an approved cosmetology instructor training program. The cosmetology instructor training program must contain both theoretical and practical components. A license must be renewed every two years in Wyoming, and it must be renewed in the month of the licensee’s birthday. The fee for renewing a license is $96. Cosmetology instructors do not need to acquire continuing education credits to keep their licenses updated.
