Massage Therapy Licensing Requirements in Washington

You must attend a program that’s accepted by the state of Washington. The program that you choose must be at least 500 hours in length. Once you complete your training, you will need to take either the National Certification Examination for Massage Therapy (NCETMB) or the Federation of State Massage Therapy Board’s MBLEx exam. In addition, you must take the state’s jurisprudence examination to evaluate your knowledge of law. For this particular test, you must score 100 percent to pass.
