During your training to become a permanent hair removal specialist in “The Peace Garden State,” you will learn various methods to remove hair. You’ll be taught about the equipment you use to perform the procedures and how to take care of the equipment. Once you complete training, you’ll be able to safely remove hair and be able to do it sanitary fashion. Subjects you’ll be taught during your training include electricity, hygiene, law, ethics dermatology and bacteriology. Hair growth and other hair specifics (trichology) is another topic you’ll become familiarized with along with the correct terminology to use.

Overview of Electrolysis Licensing in North Dakota

In North Dakota, you have to be 18 years of age or older. You must have already completed your general education in high school or at least earned the equivalent of your high school education. Your training must last for at least 200 hours. After you complete the training program, you’ll be able to obtain your license to perform hair removal techniques. However, you won’t be qualified to perform hair removal via the use of an electric needle. Some cosmetology schools educate students on electrolysis during the course a cosmetology program. These hours don’t count toward the required number of hours needed to obtain licensure, but a person who is a licensed cosmetologist will only need 40 hours of coursework on depilatron and removatron-type hair removal machines to use these particular devices. North Dakota deems it necessary that you renew your license each year.
