Cosmetologist Licensing in Iowa

The Iowa Board of Cosmetology lists their specific hour requirements for each type of beauty career. Every two years, cosmetologists are required to renew their licenses. One must renew a license on December 31 of even-numbered years. To renew a license, cosmetologists will need to pay a fee of $60. Also, individuals must complete at least eight hours of continuing education credits to renew a license.
