Kentucky Esthetician License Requirements

As part of the cosmetology industry, esthetics is currently regulated by the Kentucky Board of Hairdressers and Cosmetologists. This agency is made up of beauty professionals and experts who decide what you must do to become a licensed esthetician.

When you take your written and practical exams, the Board of Hairdressers and Cosmetologists will check to make sure you meet the following KY esthetician license requirements:
• $75 licensing fee
• $125 testing fee
• Fees paid by money order, cashier’s check, or cash (exact change only)
• 1000 hours
