You must complete the following hours to test for a Wisconsin license:

– Cosmetology – 1800 Hours or 4000 Apprenticeship Hours
– Cosmetology Instructor – You must have your Cosmetology License,150 Hours of additional training and 2000 Hours of work experience.
– Nail Technician – 300 Hours
– Esthetician – 450 Hours
– Electrolosis – 450 Hours

All licenses must be renewed bi-annually in March of odd numbered years like 2013 and 2015. Renewals cost about $82. If you renew late, there is a $25 fee. You don’t have to complete any additional CEU credits to renew your license; however, customers are always interested in the newest trends in beauty and personal care, so taking continuing education classes is essential to your success in these trades.
